Support and Volunteering
Volunteer
Lafayette Preparatory Academy is embarking on many projects in support of our overall mission and vision. We have developed committees to specialize in certain areas. If you are an active, engaged person, who would like to be involved in the excitement of building something from the ground up, get involved!
Currently, we have the the following committees:
CURRICULUM COMMITTEE: developing curriculum that will lead LPA students to success in math, science, literacy, social studies, health, physical education, music, art, foreign language, character education, service learning, critical thinking, etc.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE: engaging the community in the process of developing LPA to its full potential; organizing volunteers; involving families; creating partnerships with community organizations; supporting the community around us.
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE: raising the necessary funds to support our full mission and vision; writing grants to provide exceptional educational experiences for students.
BUDGET COMMITTTEE: developing and monitoring the budget.
PARENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE: organizing social events for LPA families; providing opportunities for the parents' input to be heard and integrated into the school model; building a close-knit community that provides support for all who participate in it.
REAL ESTATE COMMITTEE: researching locations for a permanent home in 2015-2016; planning the improvements to be made to our temporary home for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.
